PSA: Do NOT buy these ocarinas!!!
It is holiday season, and that means a lot of people are going to be shopping. This is also a big season for ocarinas and gift giving. If you are looking to buy or gift an ocarina that sounds anywhere near decent, do not buy these! These are well known in the ocarina community for being completely awful.
These cheap ocarinas are sold by companies such as Ocarinawind and TOTMC, and are often sold on Etsy, Ebay, and Amazon under several different names. These cheap ripoff Chinese ocarinas are sold for as low as $15, but they often arrive broken and are generally piles of shit. These sellers prey on Zelda fans who have no idea what a good ocarina is supposed to sound like, and they purposely make the ocarina look very similar to trusted brands. Likewise, the reviews are mostly from people who have never played an ocarina before. All you are buying here is a paperweight. If you want something to put on your shelf, feel free to get these, but if you expect anything that sounds like music, avoid these at all costs. These are not sold for sound quality.
Here are some quality Zelda replica alternatives that actually play:
STL OOT (Many different packages on the site)
Tenrai OOT (Not recommended for beginners)
If you have any questions regarding ocarinas, how to play, or beginner models, feel free to send me an ask.
